Staedtler 187-2 F is a box of 12 red Noris colour pencils that Staedtler sell as a correction pencil, in the triangular Noris colour 187 shape.
This is a single colour box, not an assortment. Every pencil is the same red, which is what a teacher, tutor or editor wants when a whole desk drawer is given over to marking. The box artwork shows an exam answer sheet, and that is the job it is built around: circling errors, ticking correct answers, writing a score in the margin and flagging changes on a printed draft.
Staedtler's notes on the 187 point to its triangular profile for relaxed use, leads that resist breaking and a soft, non-slip finish, and the barrel wears the red and black Noris stripe with a stars and dots print. The barrel carries a small panel for a name, handy in a staffroom where pencils wander.
