Five Boxes of Super Soft Coloured Pencils for White and Black Paper
Staedtler 149C C24 is the 24 colour box of the Design Journey super soft coloured pencil, and this listing supplies five of those boxes, 120 pencils in all, for an art room, studio class or workshop.
Staedtler describe the 149C as a high-quality pencil in the classic hexagonal shape with a super soft lead that gives particularly high coverage. Its point of difference is the paper it works on: Staedtler say it lays down bright colour on both white and black paper, and the box artwork makes the case with an owl drawn half on each.
The 24 colours run from 0 white and 10 light yellow through the reds, blues and greens to 73 burnt sienna, 76 van dyke brown, 80 light grey and 9 black. On dark card the white, peach and light grey carry the highlights that bare paper would give you on a white sheet.
Five identical boxes keep every table on the same palette, which helps when a teacher demonstrates a technique and the class follows colour for colour. For this lead Staedtler point to two sharpeners of their own, Mars 510 25 and Noris 512 002; neither is packed in the box.
