Twelve Pastel Colours In A Flat Metal Tin
Staedtler 146P M12 brings twelve Design Journey pastel pencils in a hinged metal tin, giving you the soft, chalky colour of pastel with the control of a sharpened point.
The tin is printed "12 Pastel pencils" and carries Staedtler's Design Journey mark, the range name Staedtler use for its art and hobby sets. Inside, twelve natural wood hexagonal pencils sit in a single row, each tipped in its colour. Staedtler's swatch image runs from white and yellow through orange, pink, lilac and two blues to greens, brown and black.
Pastel pencils suit work where sticks are too clumsy: fur and hair, botanical detail, lettering and edges. Lay colour lightly, build it up in layers, and soften it with a finger, stump or tissue. Toned or textured paper holds pastel better than smooth copy paper.
The flat tin protects the leads and keeps the set together in a bag. Staedtler Australia sell the 146P M12 by the single tin.
