A Fuller Karat Aquarell Palette for Regular Painting
The karat aquarell 125 M24 tin doubles the starter palette to 24 shades, enough for landscapes, botanical studies and portrait work without constant mixing.
Each pencil has the soft, strongly pigmented water-soluble lead Staedtler describe for the karat aquarell range. Lay colour down dry for crisp detail, then pull a damp brush through it to melt the strokes into transparent watercolour on proper watercolour paper.
Moving from 12 to 24 brings in white and light grey, golden ochre and burnt sienna, magenta and pink, cobalt blue, cyan and sea green, plus light olive, violet and light yellow. Those extra earths and blues are the ones most artists end up reaching for in skies, foliage and skin tones.
The pencils sit in a flat metal tin that keeps the set in order on the desk or in a bag. Barrels are silver with matching coloured end caps, printed MADE IN GERMANY.
