HB Pencils With An Eraser On Top
The Staedtler tradition 112-HB box contains 12 HB graphite pencils, each finished with an eraser tip so small mistakes can be fixed without reaching for a separate eraser.
The 112 is the eraser-tipped version of the tradition 110. Staedtler describe it as a high quality pencil with eraser tip and list the eraser as PVC and latex-free. The lead is HB, the general-purpose grade for writing and everyday drawing.
Strength comes from what Staedtler call a special lead formulation and a super-bonded lead, which they say makes it unbelievably break-resistant. The barrel is the classic red and black with gold print, finished with a gold-coloured ferrule and a pink eraser, and Staedtler state it is made in Germany.
An eraser tip is handy for quick fixes in a test, on a worksheet or on a clipboard. For bigger corrections or clean erasing of large areas, a separate block eraser still does a better job.
