One Step Softer Than HB
Staedtler tradition 110-B is a box of 12 pencils in grade B, the gentle move up from HB for people who like a little more darkness in their handwriting.
B is the first soft grade above HB. The line reads more clearly on cream or off-white papers, is easier to read back from a notebook and still holds a reasonable point for small lettering. It is also a comfortable starting grade for loose sketches that you plan to darken later.
Staedtler class the tradition as high quality for writing, drawing and sketching, and say its super-bonded lead and special formulation make it unbelievably break-resistant. The red and black barrels carry gold STAEDTLER tradition B lettering and a black end cap, and Staedtler state they are made in Germany.
