The Hardest Grade In The Tradition Range
This box holds 12 Staedtler tradition 110-4H pencils, the hardest of the twelve degrees Staedtler offer in the tradition line.
A 4H lead leaves a whisper-light grey line and wears very slowly. That makes it a good choice for marking out measurements on a drawing, laying faint perspective lines or ruling a light grid that should not show once the artwork is finished. Hard grades also smudge very little, so the page stays clean while you work over it.
Staedtler say a special lead formulation and a super-bonded lead make the tradition unbelievably break-resistant. The red and black barrel shows STAEDTLER tradition 4H in gold, with a black end cap, and Staedtler state the range is made in Germany.
Because the line is so light, 4H is rarely used for writing. Keep it next to an HB or 2B when you need both construction and finishing grades.
