Light, Crisp Lines From A Hard Lead
Staedtler tradition 110-2H comes as a box of 12 hard-grade pencils for work where the line needs to stay fine, pale and easy to draw over.
H grades are harder than HB and leave a lighter mark. At 2H the point wears slowly, so you can rule long construction lines, mark out a plan or draw a geometry diagram without stopping to sharpen every few minutes. The pale line sits quietly under ink or a darker grade added later.
Staedtler say the tradition is unbelievably break-resistant, which they attribute to a special lead formulation with the lead super-bonded into the wood. Each red and black barrel carries the gold imprint STAEDTLER tradition 2H, and Staedtler list the range as made in Germany.
Pair it with a softer grade from the same range for shading, or with a Mars Lumograph 2H when you want an artist grade pencil for the same job.
