Green For Passed, Checked And Colour-Coded Items
Staedtler 108 20-5 puts the green Lumocolor permanent glasochrom pencil in a box of 12.
Where red flags a fault, green usually means the opposite: inspected, passed, ready to ship. Green glasochrom pencils let a workshop, warehouse or lab mark that status straight onto the item, whether it is metal, plastic, glass or wood.
The mark is waterproof and Staedtler note it is not water soluble, which suits items that are washed or stored in damp areas. If a status changes, methylated spirits on a cloth takes it off, again per Staedtler.
It also works as a fourth or fifth colour in a stock rotation system alongside the other glasochrom shades. Staedtler state the pencils are made in Germany and lightfast.
