Blue Glasochrom For Labels On Light Materials
Here you get a box of 12 Staedtler 108 20-3 glasochrom pencils, all blue.
Blue reads well on white and light materials: pale plastic tubs, light timber, white tiles, clear glass against a pale background and paper forms. It is a common pick for labelling containers and samples where a black mark feels too heavy and red would signal a problem.
Staedtler build the 108 20 as a waterproof, wood-cased pencil that writes opaquely on almost all surfaces. It does not dissolve in water, and Staedtler give methylated spirits on a cloth as the way to take a mark off.
For a fine point, Staedtler suggest their Mars double-hole sharpener 510 25 or tub sharpener 512 002. Staedtler state the pencils are made in Germany and that the writing is lightfast.
