A Permanent Red Pencil For Flagging And Rejects
Staedtler 108 20-2 is a box of 12 red Lumocolor permanent glasochrom pencils.
Red is the colour for problems: rejected parts on an inspection bench, faults on glass or panels, do-not-use notes on stock. A red glasochrom mark goes onto glass, metal, plastic and wood and stays readable, and Staedtler say the line is opaque on almost all surfaces.
The lead is waterproof and will not dissolve in water, so it holds up in wash-down areas. When a flagged item is cleared, Staedtler advise a cloth dampened with methylated spirits to remove the mark.
On paper charts and drawings it does not bleed through, and Staedtler describe the writing as lightfast. Each pencil is wood-cased and made in Germany, according to Staedtler.
