Yellow Marks That Stand Out On Metal And Timber
This listing is a box of 12 Staedtler Lumocolor permanent glasochrom 108 20-1 pencils in yellow.
Yellow is the high-visibility choice for the workshop and the site: lines on steel plate, set-out marks on timber, numbers on pipe and conduit. It reads on dark and mid-tone materials as well as on light ones, and Staedtler give the 108 20 an opaque line on almost all surfaces, including metal, wood, plastic, glass and stone.
The core is waterproof, so a mark made before cutting or welding prep stays put when the job gets wet. Because it is not water soluble, Staedtler say to remove it with methylated spirits on a cloth rather than water.
There is no cap to lose or ink to dry out: the pencil is wood-cased and sharpens like any other. Staedtler state it is made in Germany and that the writing is lightfast.
