The Stabilo CarbOthello chalk-pastel coloured pencil in Vermilion Red delivers a charcoal-like feel with highly pigmented, light-fast colour. The 4.4 mm diameter lead blends and smudges easily with fingertips or a blending stump, and is partially aquarellable - allowing pigments to be worked with a brush and water while contours remain visible.
Part of a range of 60 colour shades, this pencil performs exceptionally on dark backgrounds and specialist papers. Use it dry for rich, blendable pastel effects, or wet for painterly results. Finished works can be treated with a fixative for superior longevity.
