A Deep, Inky Blue In Pencil Form
Stabilo 0078033 is the Prussian Blue shade from the Stabilo CarbOthello pastel pencil range, stamped 1400/390 on the barrel.
Prussian Blue sits at the dark end of the blues, close to navy, and it is the colour many artists reach for when a sky turns to evening, a pair of jeans needs its folds, or a cast shadow needs to feel cool rather than grey. Keeping it as a single shade means the one colour that wears down first can be replaced without buying a whole new set.
ACCO describe a 4.4mm lead for robust, precise strokes, held in a wooden shaft that protects it from breaking, and a high pigment load for strong colour. Because the pastel sits inside a pencil, it can be sharpened to a point for edges and small details.
