A quiet desktop fidget for palm or foot use
The Elizabeth Richards Square Desktop Fidget, supplier code ERSDF, is a compact tactile tool with a non-skid base and smooth surface, made for palm or foot use and suited to ages 3 and up.
Elizabeth Richards lists the fidget at 12.5cm wide and 4.5cm high, sized to sit on a desktop, bench or table. The non-skid base and smooth tactile surface are designed for use under a palm or a foot. The supplier describes it as portable and discreet, for school, home or travel, and names classrooms, therapy rooms and the car as places to use it.
Elizabeth Richards describes it as a quiet sensory outlet that delivers tactile and proprioceptive input. The supplier suggests offering it during lessons for students who benefit from sensory breaks, including it in calm-down corners, and adding it to flexible seating so students have a choice.
Use it with other sensory supports across the classroom, on a desk, under a table or in a quiet corner. See sensory toys, early learning sensory resources, classroom seating and the Elizabeth Richards range.
