This is a soft mat, not a classroom carpet, and the difference matters before you buy. Memory foam under velvet gives a floor that is genuinely comfortable to lie on - which is what you want in a calm corner, a baby room or a sensory space.
What the supplier says plainly, and so will we: it is not for high-traffic areas. Put this where children sit, lie and read. Do not put it in a doorway or a corridor. If you need something to take thirty pairs of shoes all day, buy a nylon classroom rug instead.
Roll it, never fold it. Memory foam creases and the crease does not come out. Store rolled, and do not twist it.
Vacuum or spot clean only. No machine washing, no soaking. The supplier notes there is no stain protection applied - in a room with paint or food, treating it yourself is worth considering before it goes down.
