40 tactile pattern blocks in four colours, each with its own surface texture, plus 12 double-sided activity cards.
Standard pattern blocks are sorted by shape and colour, which means a child who cannot see them well, or who is not yet secure on colour names, is locked out of the activity. Give each block a distinct texture and the same set works by touch - sort by feel, match by feel, or find the triangle in a bag without looking.
That makes this one set that covers two jobs: it is a maths manipulative for shape, pattern and sorting, and it is a tactile resource for sensory work. The 12 double-sided cards give 24 activities to start from, so it does not sit in the cupboard waiting for someone to plan a lesson.
