Pre-cut scratch boomerangs with Zart cultural guidance
Zart Scratch Boomerangs, supplier code ERSA003, are a pack of 30 pre-cut card boomerangs from The Creative School Supply Company, each 29cm, with 30 scratch tools included.
The Creative School Supply Company says students scrape away the black surface coating with the wooden tool provided to reveal earthy colour tones underneath, creating their own designs and patterns. Zart Education recommends teachers and schools work in consultation with their local Koorie Community, starting locally and extending out, and states that any art making task replicating Aboriginal cultural expressions must be done in consultation with the appropriate Aboriginal people.
The pack of 30 boomerangs includes 30 scratch tools. The black coating gives a strong contrast as lines are scratched through to the earthy tones. Zart presents templates like these as a starting point for meaningful making and responding lessons.
Zart also recommends building strong relationships with your local First Nations community. Other Zart scratch shapes are listed separately. Browse scratch art papers, educational craft supplies, art and craft supplies and Zart.
