A Claw Remover That Locks Shut in the Drawer
The Rexel Lockable Staple Remover is a claw style tool with chrome finish steel jaws, moulded finger grips and a lock catch beside the pivot.
This is the odd one out in a range of consumables, because it is a tool rather than a refill. Two opposed pairs of sprung claws slide under the crown and lift the staple as the arms close, and the lock catch on the body holds the jaws shut when the tool is put away. All of that is visible on the product itself.
A claw remover works on the staple rather than on the paper, which is what keeps the sheets intact when a file has to be rebuilt. The lock matters more than it sounds in a shared drawer, where an open sprung jaw is the thing that catches on everything else.
The pen style alternative sits beside this one in Staple Removers. Staple boxes are grouped in Paper Staples and the bodies they go into under Office Staplers, with the rest of the Rexel range across Stationery Essentials.
