The 8mm Leg, the 40 Sheet Figure and One Named Machine
Rexel publish the No. 18 as a 24/8 staple that handles up to 40 sheets at a time, well beyond what they rate their 6mm codes for, and the pack prints both names on one red roundel.
Rexel recommend this code for one machine by name, the Rexel Vulcan stapler, and we do not stock it. That is worth saying up front rather than burying, since most buyers come to this code as a refill for a machine already marked 24/8. Rexel's own Office 56 40 sheet plier page puts the size at 40 sheets of 80gsm paper where a 24/6 reaches 20.
The 8mm leg is the entire point, since the leg is what decides how thick a stack a staple reaches through. Rexel put numbers on that on their Office 56 40 sheet plier page, where one machine reaches 20 sheets of 80gsm on a 24/6 and 40 sheets of 80gsm on a 24/8. Rexel record the box at 0.28 kilograms.
If your machine is not marked 24/8, buy the 24/6 or 26/6 instead. See paper staples for the sizes we carry, office staplers for the machines, and heavy duty staplers for stacks beyond 40 sheets.
