Five Thousand 24/6 Staples and a Figure Worth Correcting
This is the cupboard box of the Rexel No. 16 24/6, and it is also the code where Rexel's own sources disagree about sheet capacity, so this page states which figure we publish and why.
Rexel's current product page for article 6010 publishes a 6mm leg stapling up to 20 sheets of 80gsm paper. ACCO's datasheet for the same article, printed in 2016, says 25. A third Rexel source, their Office 56 40 sheet plier page, independently states that 24/6 and 26/6 staples reach 20 sheets of 80gsm paper. Two current sources against one archived one, so we publish 20.
Beyond that, the code is straightforward. Rexel recommend it for a wide range of their own staplers, and their pages for the Office 56 plier, the Matador, the Gazelle and the Torador each name the No. 16 24/6. ACCO record the box at 0.24 kilograms and the retail pack at 81 millimetres wide, with the staple colour as white.
A machine can be rated differently from its staple, and Rexel rate the Gazelle at up to 25 sheets of 80gsm with a No. 16. See paper staples for the range, half strip staplers and full strip staplers for the machines.
