Rexel 46311 sits between the light and the rigid A3 gauges, laying 100 micron of gloss film on each side for 200 micron of laminate in total across a full A3 sheet.
A3 work is display work. Posters, floor plans, wall charts and rosters are read from a distance and stay up for months, so the laminate has to hold a large sheet flat without making it too stiff to roll for transport. At 2 x 100 micron the finished poster keeps its shape on a wall yet still rolls into a tube, which is the compromise a lot of display work calls for.
Rexel describe lamination as protecting a document from dirt and damage and leaving a durable, wipe clean surface that is totally sealed and waterproof.
