Rexel 41670 seals a credit card sized print between two 125 micron gloss films, 250 micron of laminate in total, giving a membership card or a visitor pass a firm, wallet ready finish.
A card that lives in a wallet or on a lanyard is handled far harder than any sheet of paper. It is bent, sat on and pulled in and out of a pocket several times a day, which is why Rexel put their firmer gauge on the card sizes. Rexel publish this format at 54 x 86mm, the standard credit card footprint, so an existing card template prints and trims straight into it.
Rexel describe the sealed laminate as a durable, wipe clean surface that is totally sealed and waterproof, and note that a laminated document cannot be amended or removed from the seal once pressed, which is exactly what you want on an identity card.
