A Rexel Lanyard With a Published Safety Breakaway
ACCO Australia publish a safety breakaway on code 9802202, with a break weight of 2.5kg, and the pack label prints the words Safety Breakaway alongside the alligator clip.
This is the flat lanyard fitted with a metal alligator clip rather than a swivel hook, so it bites onto a punched card or a pouch directly. ACCO Australia describe the breakaway as ideal for machine operators and security staff, and give the hanging length as 52cm. In our photographs the release shows as a small black barrel joining two ends of the strap partway along its length.
A lanyard that parts under load is the one to specify anywhere a neck strap could be caught, which in practice means workshops, plant rooms, kitchens and anywhere with moving machinery. The alligator clip also grips a card without a separate holder, so a punched pass can go straight on.
Codes 9842001, 9841003 and 9843006 carry the same published release. Compare them in lanyards and badge reels, add a pouch from name badges and ID holders, and browse health and clinic supplies or the Rexel range.
