Labels You Can Read From Above The Drawer
Post-it 686A-ALYR filing tabs are angled back, so when a filing cabinet drawer is pulled open the label on each hanging file faces up at you instead of straight ahead.
3M list the size as 2 x 1.5 in (50.8 x 38.1mm) and the pack as 24 tabs: 6 in each of 4 colours. The photo shows aqua, lime, yellow and red, the set 3M call Assorted Primary. Each tab has a solid colour bar with a clear lower section, and 3M describe them as durable, writable and repositionable, sticking securely and removing cleanly.
That angle is the reason to choose these over flat tabs. In an office with a row of filing cabinets, a quick look down a drawer finds the right client, supplier or job file without lifting folders. Colour by year, by department or by status, then move a tab when a file is closed.
Note that our title lists three colours; the 3M pack holds four, including red.
