The Pilot Kire-Na dual tip highlighter carries a chisel tip and a bullet tip on the same barrel, so highlighting and annotating happen with one pen.
The box holds 10 pens across the basic range, covering Blue, Green, Pink, Orange and Yellow, which is enough to set up a full colour coding system or share a set across a desk or classroom. The broad chisel tip lays down clean bands across a line of text while the fine bullet tip handles underlining and margin notes. Kire-Na took the Grand Prize at the Japanese Stationery Award 2025.
A precision guide moulded into the chisel tip runs along the edge of the text so the band of colour stays straight, and the flexible nib bends under pressure rather than pooling ink into dark blotches at the end of a stroke. The ink dries quickly to reduce smudging and is formulated so colour does not soak through to the other side of the page.
