Deep Blue Lacquer Framed in Gold

Parker 2231411 is the Meridian twist ballpoint pen in blue lacquer with gold trims: the cap is blue lacquer on brass, the trims are gold PVD on brass and the arrow clip is gold PVD on stainless steel.

Meridian is a new Parker collection built around sculpted crease lines that run the length of the barrel. The joins sit flush, so the pen reads as one uninterrupted silhouette from cap to tip. The deep blue lacquer with gold-finish trims is a traditional writing-pen colourway that reads as formal without being black.

It uses a twist mechanism rather than a click: turn the barrel to extend the medium tip and turn it back to retract it. Inside is a Quinkflow ballpoint refill in blue, and spares in black or blue are easy to keep on hand.
