Parker 1931658 is the IM rollerball in black lacquer with chrome coated trims and a fine tip, for writers who want the easy, liquid glide of a rollerball with a crisp black line, without moving to a fountain pen.
A rollerball sits between a ballpoint and a fountain pen. Parker say the tip delivers an effortlessly smooth and consistent flow of ink, so it needs little pressure, which many people prefer for long notes and signatures. The fine tip keeps that wet line slim enough for everyday paper.
The glossy black lacquer is set off by a chrome coated clip, cap band and end, and Parker list the cap as lacquer on brass. It is a capped pen, so the cap protects the tip between uses.
