A Tall, Narrow MAX Case Filled With Cubed Foam
The Panaro MAX630S is a deep, narrow watertight case with cubed foam fitted, sized at 630 x 335 x 335 mm inside so upright items like flasks, lamps, rack gear or stacked instruments stand rather than lie flat.
Panaro's foam sheet for the MAX630 lists a 50 mm base layer, two 70 mm cubed layers and a 60 mm cubed layer, plus convoluted foam in the 80 mm lid. That gives 68 litres you can pluck into pockets of different depths. Panaro give the weight with foam as 8.30 kg.
For moving it, there are side handles and a large fold down handle, and the datasheet lists stainless steel wheel pins for the wheels at one end. The polypropylene shell uses nylon pins with 30% fibreglass fill, double throw latches and an automatic pressure release valve. Its paperwork covers IP67, STANAG 4280 and MIL-STD-810H, all issued for the MAX630, and the case is made in Italy.
