The Deep MAX505 For Taller Equipment
The MAX505H280 keeps the MAX505 footprint but gives 280 mm of internal height, for 49 litres of space in an empty black watertight case.
Where the standard MAX505 has 194 mm inside, the H280 has 58 mm in the lid and 222 mm in the base. That depth suits upright items such as bottles of reagent, a stack of meters, a projector, a small generator controller or a camera with its lens mounted. Supplied empty, it can take a custom foam inlay or Panaro's own foam kit for this case.
Inside it is 500 x 350 x 280 mm; outside 555 x 428 x 306 mm. Panaro give the weight as 4.90 kg. Sealed lid, self-venting valve, two-stage latches, a hinge running the whole back edge, strap and padlock holes and stacking ribs are all part of the H280 shell. Panaro's test list for the deep MAX505H280 includes ATA 300 for aircraft, IP67, MIL-STD-810 and the two NATO and UK defence protocols, STANAG 4280 and DEF STAN 81-41; it is made in Italy.
