The MAX430 Shell, Empty And Ready To Fit Out
The Panaro MAX430 in black is the plain, unfitted case: a wide 426 x 290 mm floor with 159 mm of depth, for gear that comes in its own packaging or a foam inlay you have made to suit.
Of that depth, the lid takes 45 mm and the base 114 mm, for a total of 19.64 litres, and the shell measures 464 x 366 x 176 mm outside. Panaro offer the same model with cubed foam (S), high density foam (HDS), a padded camera set (CAM), the camera set plus a lid organiser (CAMORG), a pouch and tool panel, and a tool storage system, so the bare case can be fitted out later.
Without an insert it weighs 2.76 kg according to Panaro. You get two double throw latches over an O-ring, an automatic pressure release valve, a soft grip handle that Panaro load test, padlock and strap holes, and interlocking feet. For the MAX430 Panaro publish an IP67 certificate, NATO and MIL-STD-810H test files and an airline report; the specifications list them in full. Made in Italy.
