A Laptop On Top, Cubed Foam Underneath
The MAX380H160LAPTOP sets a foam laptop holder panel over cubed foam in the deep MAX380, so a notebook or tablet travels flat on top while accessories sit in plucked pockets below.
In Panaro's photos the holder is a layered foam panel with a recessed tray and a finger cut out at one corner. Lift the panel out and the cubed foam underneath can be plucked for a charger, mouse, drives or cables. A convoluted foam pad in the lid presses down on the laptop when the case is shut.
The MAX380H160 shell gives 380 x 270 x 160 mm inside and measures 414 x 345 x 174 mm outside, and Panaro confirm the holder is made to measure for an iPad and for 13 and 15 inch MacBooks, with room for most other laptops and tablets up to 15 inches. The shell's IP67 certificate means a closed case keeps out dust and water to that rating, and Panaro list airline and military test reports for it too; it is made in Italy. Panaro do not publish a weight for the laptop version.
