MAX005S is the standard cubed foam version of Panaro's slim MAX005, a light 0.30 kg case for pens, styluses, probes or a small camera accessory kept in its own cut-out.
Two 20 mm layers of pre-cut cubes sit on a 10 mm base pad, so shallow items can be set into the top layer and deeper ones through both. A 15 mm convoluted layer in the lid holds everything down. The usable space is 292 x 92 x 65 mm (13.5 mm lid plus 51.5 mm base), inside a 309 x 128 x 71.5 mm shell.
Teslab tested the MAX005 to IP52 under EN 60529, which covers dust protection and dripping water. That is the only rating published for this model, so it is a splash and dust case rather than an immersion one. Panaro's declaration covers MIL-STD-810G fluid contamination and fungus testing of MAX series materials.
