Simple face masks are the standard low-to-moderate concentration oxygen delivery device for spontaneously breathing patients who do not require the high concentration of a non-rebreather mask. The child-sized mask is contoured to fit paediatric facial anatomy, providing an adequate seal around the nose and mouth for effective oxygen delivery without the discomfort of an oversized adult mask. Without tubing, this mask provides procurement flexibility for facilities that standardise on a specific oxygen tubing gauge or length, or require replacement masks independently of tubing.
