A Top Bound Pocket Docket In Carbon Duplicate
Olympic 140989 is the No. 54 docket book, a top bound carbon duplicate book at 125 x 100mm with 50 leaves printed on the cover.
Unlike the side bound No. 5 and No. 50 docket books, the No. 54 is bound along its top edge, as both cover photos show. That lets it flip open like a notepad and rest flat in one hand while the other writes, which suits someone taking an order standing up. On the earlier cover, the printed sample docket has date, To and From at the top and 12 numbered rows below.
It is a carbon book, and the cover says With Extra Carbon. A sheet of carbon goes behind the page being written, then moves to the next docket as the book is used. Hamelin Brands list the size as 125 x 100mm and the weight at 75g per book.
