Simulate infant intraosseous access with realistic dual-density bone training models

The NIO SIM Infant Bone Models provide realistic simulation for intraosseous (IO) access training on infant patients, supplying a pair of dual-density synthetic bone models representing older infant (pink) and younger infant (white) anatomy for hands-on NIO device insertion technique practice.

Intraosseous access is a critical emergency skill for neonatal and paediatric first responders and clinical staff - when vascular access cannot be rapidly established in a critically ill infant, IO access provides the fastest route for fluid and medication delivery. Training on realistic models is essential before clinical use, and the NIO SIM Infant Bone Models replicate the dual-density cortical and cancellous bone structure of infant tibias to provide tactile feedback that closely matches the real insertion experience.

The rotatable design allows the models to be repositioned for multiple training insertions per model, extending the useful life of each training unit across repeated skills practice sessions. The paired pink (older infant) and white (younger infant) models allow trainers to address the different bone density and anatomical characteristics across the neonatal and infant age range. Compatible with the NIO Intraosseous device.

Suitable for pre-hospital emergency training programmes, paediatric resuscitation skills courses, neonatal and paediatric nursing education, hospital emergency department simulation training, and any clinical educator requiring realistic infant IO access simulation models.
