Red foolscap folders in packs of twenty, boxed in fives
Marbig 1108603 is a box holding five packs of twenty red foolscap manilla folders, and ACCO Australia record the board against this code at 170gsm.
The pack of twenty is the unit that leaves the stationery cupboard, and the box of five is the unit that arrives on the loading dock. That is why this code exists alongside the box of one hundred: the same folder, split into portions a department can be issued without opening a bulk carton.
Red is the colour a filing plan tends to spend fastest once it has been given a meaning, which is an argument for holding it in issue sized packs rather than in bulk. Whatever red stands for in a given system is set by the office running it, not by Marbig.
Red in a box of one hundred, and every other pack size in the range, is listed under manilla folders and foolscap manilla folders. See also Marbig and legal office supplies.
