Red A4 Economy Flat Files for Priority Paperwork
Red economy flat files from Marbig, code 1001003, fifty to a box. The colour does nothing the black one does not, and that is exactly why it works: it marks a file out of a stack without anybody having to read the title strip first.
Against 1001003 ACCO Australia record the same construction as the rest of the economy line: prongs to hold the pages, a see through panel at the front and a labelling strip that runs the whole depth of the file. Sheets go in already punched. The photographs on this page show the red cover and, opened out, the metal fastener with its white bar sitting against the fold where the pages are held.
A red file in a tray of neutral ones is hard to walk past, which is the whole point of putting one there. Fifty of them is enough to run a colour convention across a department rather than across a single desk.
Decide what red means before the first one goes out. The matching colours are in display folders, with office supplies and the full Marbig range for the rest of the desk.
