The File You Can Spot From the Other Side of a Desk
Marbig code 2002003 is the A4 Deluxe flat file in red, sold singly. Marbig list it with a two prong fastener, a full length title strip, a gloss finish cover and a vertical pocket on the inside back cover for sheets that have not been punched.
Red earns its place by standing out in a stack of neutral covers. A flagged file, an incident report, the one document in a drawer that somebody has to action today: each of them is easier to find again when its colour is reserved for that purpose. The construction is the same as the rest of the Deluxe line, so the only thing that changes when a file is promoted to red is how quickly it is spotted.
Reserving red for one purpose only is what makes it work, so it is worth settling what that purpose is before the first file gets made up. The pocket inside the back cover takes the covering note or the signed page, anything that should reach the reader without being punched first.
The rest of the Deluxe colours are under display folders. Paper punches covers the punch these need, and legal office supplies carries the heavier filing a flagged matter usually graduates to.
