A Damp Sponge For Envelope Flaps And Paper Counts
Marbig 86901 is a pink moistening sponge that ACCO list for sealing envelopes and separating sheets of paper, sold under the name Sponge Only.
Sealing a stack of gummed envelopes by hand is slow, and counting or sorting paper goes faster when a fingertip has a little grip. A damp sponge on the desk handles both jobs, so nobody has to lick a finger or an envelope flap. Run the gummed flap across the sponge, fold and press; for paper, touch a fingertip to the surface before leafing through the pile.
ACCO say the sponge can be re-moistened for repeated use, so it is simply topped up with water when it dries out. Their photo shows a round open cell sponge sitting in a clear round dish. The product name is Sponge Only and ACCO do not say whether a dish is supplied, so plan on the sponge alone and use it in a dish or sponge cup you already have.
