A three minute sand timer that runs without an alarm
The Learning Can Be Fun Large Sand Timer 3 Minute, supplier code LSTL3, is a colourful sand timer that measures three minutes as sand passes from one chamber to the next.
Learning Can Be Fun designed its large sand timers to teach the concept of time in a visual way. Children and staff can see at a glance how much time is left in a lesson, activity or therapy session, with no disruptive alarm at the end. The timer measures 16cm high and 7cm wide.
Learning Can Be Fun says sand timers help sharpen concentration and ease stressful transitions in class and at home. Each timer is built with moulded end caps and thick plastic walls, and the brand suggests it for games and timing experiments.
Large sand timers in 2, 5 and 10 minute versions are listed in the Learning Can Be Fun range. Browse maths equipment, classroom organisation and teacher resources for more timing and routine tools.
