Small 25mm solids for exploring 3-D shapes
The EDX Mini Geometric Solids set, supplier code LGS40, is a set of smaller 25mm pieces for students to explore the properties of 3-D geometric shapes, in red, blue, yellow and green.
EDX lists the shapes as a cylinder, cone, sphere, hemisphere, pyramid, square prism, hexagonal prism, triangular prism and rectangular prism. Each piece is 25mm, and the shapes come in 4 colours: red, blue, yellow and green. EDX describes the pieces as smaller, and as a set for exploring the properties of 3-D geometric shapes.
Holding a cone beside a cylinder, or a square prism beside a triangular prism, lets students compare faces, edges and corners for themselves. The shapes come in red, blue, yellow and green, which gives a second way to group the pieces besides shape.
