The bench lamp that makes current visible
A 12V 5W bayonet globe on a base with two 4mm terminals. One globe included.
This is the standard piece of kit for showing that current is a quantity, not a yes-or-no. Wire it into a circuit and the brightness changes as you change the supply, add cells in series, or introduce resistance. A bulb that is dimmer is a number a student can see.
The 4mm terminals are the reason to buy the mounted version rather than a loose globe: leads push straight in, nothing needs soldering, and it stands up on the bench by itself instead of rolling off it.
Read this before you order: the globe is a 12V 5W small bayonet. That is not the same fitting as the 2.5V screw-base bulbs we sell in the 100-pack, and the two are not interchangeable. The supplier lists a spare globe under code SER1099029A which we do not currently stock - if you want spares, tell us and we will order them in with your lamp.
