The Kyocera ECOSYS PA4000x is a mono laser printer that Kyocera rate at up to 40 A4 pages a minute, with 1200 x 1200 dpi output, a standard duplex unit and Gigabit networking built in.
Most desktop lasers are bought on the sticker price and regretted on the consumables. The ECOSYS line is built the other way around: the drum and developer are engineered to last the life of the machine rather than shipping inside every toner cartridge, so what you replace between services is toner. Kyocera publish a maximum life of 200,000 pages or five years for this one.
Kyocera publish a first print of approximately 6.4 seconds or less and a warm up of approximately 15 seconds or less, with 512MB of memory and a 1.0GHz processor. They rate it at a maximum 80,000 pages a month and back it with two years return to base as standard.
