HP 89A Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge Black 5000 Pages

Five thousand declared pages for the HP LaserJet Enterprise M507 and M528

HP 89A is the Original HP black cartridge for the LaserJet Enterprise M507 and M528 series, with a declared yield of 5,000 pages in accordance with ISO/IEC 19752.

HP lists it on eight machines and no others: the LaserJet Enterprise M507n, M507dn, M507dng and M507x, and the LaserJet Enterprise MFP M528dn and M528f and the LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M528c and M528z. It fits no other LaserJet. HP's replacement supplies list for all eight of those machines contains the 89A, the 89X and the 89Y and nothing else, so there is no separate drum or imaging unit to order alongside it.

The three cartridges in the 89 series differ only in declared yield. HP publishes 5,000 pages for the 89A, 10,000 pages for the 89X and 20,000 pages for the 89Y, all against ISO/IEC 19752, and all three are listed on the same eight printers. HP publishes no coverage percentage for any of them, so the page figure is a declared standard value rather than a figure measured at a stated coverage. In HP's own words, actual yields vary considerably based on images printed and other factors.

This is an Original HP cartridge, HP part CF289A. HP's specifications call the M507 and M528 dynamic security enabled printers, and HP publishes that a cartridge using a non HP chip or modified or non HP circuitry may not function, or may function for a period of time and then cease to function, with changes arriving through firmware updates delivered over the internet. No region restriction and no minimum printer firmware version appears against this cartridge on HP's eight model specifications. The rest of the range sits in HP Toner Cartridges, with the wider Toner Cartridges shelf and everything else in Ink and Toner.
