This is one object that behaves like four. A child sits in it and spins. Two children sit in it and rock. Flip it over and it is a cave, a boat, a shell. Nothing about it tells a child what to do with it, which is the point.
The pointed centre base is the engineering. It lets the top rotate a full 360 degrees rather than wobbling and stopping, so children get continuous vestibular input rather than a jolt. That is what makes it useful for movement work and not just fun.
The handles run all the way round and are raised, so a child can grab it from wherever they happen to be. No single correct grip.
The raised rim is a safety feature, not a styling choice. Turned upside down, there is a gap between the edge and the floor. Fingers and feet do not get trapped underneath. Worth knowing, because the upside-down cave is exactly what children will do with it in the first thirty seconds.

The supplier publishes no maximum weight. On a thing designed for one or two children to sit in, that is a real gap and we have asked them for the number. If you have older or larger children in mind, ask us before you order.
