GBC BL80MA5 is a box of 100 A5 gloss laminating pouches in the 80 micron gauge, listed by ACCO for documents and photos.
An 80 micron pouch adds protection without turning the page into a board. The sheet still bends, fits in a folder or ring binder pocket and does not add much bulk to a stack, which is why the lighter gauge suits recipe cards, reading cards, flash cards and reference sheets that get flicked through rather than stood up.
The older box calls this weight standard durability and the current box lists documents and photos as uses. ACCO describe the finish as glossy and the sealed pouch as guarding the contents against tampering and handling.
