Book Style Spines From A Desktop Machine
The GBC ThermaBind TB500 is an electric thermal binding machine that heats the glue in a thermal cover to give a document the look of a book, listed by ACCO under order code BMTB500.
Thermal binding needs no punching. The pages are squared up inside a thermal cover, the cover stands in the machine, and heat sets the spine. The finished document has a flat spine with nothing threaded through the margin, which looks tidy on a shelf and carries a printed title well.
ACCO photos show a raised holder at the back of the TB500 that keeps the cover and pages upright, plus a digital display with a power button on the front. ACCO list it for moderate use, with non-slip rubber feet and a 2 year warranty. ACCO quote a capacity of 500, called sheets in the spec table and pages in the feature text, and give no paper weight.
