The larger Trylok mat, for a wide desk on low pile carpet
The Floortex PVC chair mat measures 115 x 134cm in a keyhole shape, and Floortex build it for carpet rather than as a general purpose mat.
At 115 x 134cm this is the bigger of the two Trylok keyhole mats, and the width is what you are buying. A chair that travels along a wide desk or a corner return stays on mat instead of dropping a castor onto the carpet at the far end, which is where a worn track usually begins.
Floortex fit their carpet mats with rounded grippers on the underside, which they say keep the mat in place and stop it from sliding. This one is made for low pile, which Floortex publish as 1/4 inch or less, that is 6.35mm. They state their PVC is free from ortho-phthalates and other toxins, including lead and cadmium.
Compare it against the rest of the chair mats, have a look at the office chairs that will sit on it, or fit the whole workstation out in one order from office furniture.
