A hard floor mat that takes the castor wear instead of your floorboards
The Floortex PVC chair mat measures 90 x 121cm in a keyhole shape, and Floortex build it for hard floors rather than as a general purpose mat.
Castors cut into a hard floor faster than most people expect, and the damage shows in a band right where the chair moves. A mat takes that wear instead. This one is 90 x 121cm, which covers a standard single workstation, and the keyhole tongue reaches in under the desk so the chair is on mat rather than half on and half off.
Floortex give their hard floor mats a smooth underside rather than grippers, so the mat sits flat on timber, laminate, vinyl or tile without anything to mark the surface. They state their PVC is free from ortho-phthalates and other toxins, including lead and cadmium, and they recommend PVC for light or occasional use and for home offices.
Compare it against the rest of the chair mats, have a look at the office chairs that will sit on it, or fit the whole workstation out in one order from office furniture.
